जेव्हा कुठल्याही व्यक्तीकडून आपल्या बरोबरच्या संवादात किंवा व्यवहारात प्रामाणिकपणा आणि मानवी मुल्ये दिसून येतात,तेव्हा आपल्या सभोवतालच्या गोष्टी आणखी सकारात्मक दिसायला लागतात. आयुष्यात चांगली माणसे टिकून आहेत,याचा प्रत्यय येत एक नवी आशा निर्माण होते. असाच प्रत्यय नुकतेच काही घटनांमुळे आला. आमच्या स्वच्छता सैनिक आणि गाडी चालकांनी हरवलेल्या वस्तू मुळ मालकांना सुखरूप परत केल्या.पहिल्या घटनेत ड्राईव्हर महेश साबळे व ऑपरेटर रोहित साठे यांना सापडलेला उच्च किंमतीचा मोबाईल फोन परत केला,तर दुसऱ्या घटनेत सुपरवायझर विवेक खडतरे व सुपरवायझर दिनेश भंडारी,ड्राईव्हर अनिल साबळे आणि ऑपरेटर प्रज्वल जगदाळे यांनी आधार कार्ड,क्रेडिट कार्ड,ड्रायव्हिंग लायसन्स असे मौल्यवान दस्ताऐवज असलेली पर्स परत केली.त्यांच्या प्रामाणिकपणाचे या वस्तूच्या मुळ मालकांनी कौतुक केले.या सर्व स्वच्छता सैनिक व ड्रायव्हरना सुपरवायझर फारूख बांगी यांचे मार्गदर्शन मिळाले.   त्यांच्या कार्याचे कौतुक करण्यासाठी अदर पुनावाला क्लीन सिटी इनिशिएटिव्ह (एपीसीसीआय) च्या कार्यालयात विशेष सत्कार करण्यात आला. याप्रसंगी एपीसीसीआयच...

When we experience honesty and strong human values in someone’s behaviour, the world around us begins to feel more positive. It gives rise to a renewed sense of hope, reminding us that truly good people still exist. A few recent incidents brought about this very feeling. In two recent incidents, our Waste Warriors went beyond their duties and  safely returned valuable lost items to their original owners. In the first incident, driver Mahesh Sable and operator Rohit Sathe returned a high-end mobile phone that was found during regular work, while in the second incident, driver Anil Sable and operator Prajwal Jagdale returned a purse containing valuable documents like Aadhar card, credit card, driving license. A good ecosystem and dignity for waste warriors to carry out their duties and awareness amongst citizens can bring about change in the way we handle waste and pave the way for a healthier environment.
