कडाक्याच्या उन्हाळ्यापासून दिलासा देत पावसाळा वातावरणात गारवा पसरवतो. पावसाळ्यातील वातावरण निसर्गाच्या विविध रंगांनी भरलेले,आल्हाददायक आणि उत्साही असते.  मात्र पावसाळा यासोबतच कचऱ्याबाबतची अनेक आव्हाने देखील घेऊन येतो. विशेषतः शहरी भागात रस्त्यावर टाकलेला कचरा आणि त्या कचऱ्याचे प्रमाण हे स्वच्छता दूतांसाठी एक मोठे आव्हान असते. रस्त्यावर टाकलेला कचरा जर उचलला गेला नाही तर तो पावसाच्या पाण्यासोबत नाले आणि सखोल भागात वाहून जातो आणि तिथे अडथळे निर्माण करतो.ओला कचरा लवकर सडत असल्याने दुर्गंधी, डासांची पैदास तसेच पाणी साचणे अशा गंभीर समस्या निर्माण होतात. प्लास्टिक कचरा देखील ड्रेनेज मध्ये अडथळे निर्माण करत या समस्येत अधिक भर पडते. यामुळेच जगभरातील शहरी रस्त्यांवर आणि आसपासच्या परिसरात पाणी साठणे हे एक नेहमीचेच  दृश्य बनत चालले आहे.   याबद्दल आपण काय करू शकतो? १. कचऱ्याची विल्हेवाट - कचरा व्यवस्थापनात महानगरपालिकेची प्रमुख भूमिका असली, तरी वैयक्तिक पातळीवर योगदान दिल्यास खऱ्या अर्थाने बदल घडू शकतो. कचरा वर्गीकरणामुळे केवळ पावसाळ्यातच नव्हे तर वर्षभरातील बहुतेक समस्...
