The Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative (APCCI) actively participated in Road Safety Week to spread awareness about traffic rules and responsible road behavior. More than 450 waste warriors from APCCI took part in the campaign, holding placards and engaging with citizens at over 50 major chowks across Pune. Through direct interaction, they emphasized the importance of following traffic regulations to ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and commuters. As part of the initiative, over 300 motorists who were found adhering to traffic rules were appreciated and felicitated with roses as a gesture of encouragement. The eleventh edition of Clean City Talks, organized by APCCI, showcased how young citizens are shaping a cleaner, greener urban future. Among the inspiring participants were members of BPT Seva (Baner Pashan Tekdi Seva)—a youth-led community initiative dedicated to improving city cleanliness through regular drives and awareness campaigns. Founded by Shanti Saxena, Tanish Saxena, Arghav Choudhary, Tej Pundey, Arnav Nair, Suzanne Thomas, and Aadit Bagde, BPT Seva has become  a n example of   responsibility and collective action. An act of compassion, blood donation supports medical procedures, improves health of those in need and saves lives bringing hope and joy to the families seeing their loved ones recover and get back to routine. It fosters a sense of community. In an effort to contribute this cause Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative (APCCI) organised a blood donation camp recently to mark our Independence Day. Building on the success of last year’s drive, the second blood donation drive saw more than 100 team members along with their families took part and donated their blood. The initiative was conducted in association with ‘Jan Kalyan Blood Centre’ Malhar Karwande, COO APCCI and Sathya Natarajan Lead Volunteer APCCI were amongst the team members who donated their blood and kicked off the drive. All team members expressed satisfaction that their participation could save lives of those in need.

APCCI had an opportunity to host three changemakers- Prof. Jayant Mahajan, Pradeep Kumar, and Priya Kumari who told about their remarkable journeys and the road ahead at the ‘Clean City Talks’. An awareness and education session was conducted in joint association with Pune Police  to ensure road safety of Waste Warriors of APCCI. Around 375 waste warriors from the Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative (APCCI) recently took part in workshops on ideal driving practices conducted at the Yerawada Police Station Auditorium and Anna Saheb Magar College Auditorium. Organized by APCCI, the workshop brought together drivers and machine operators from Yerawada, Kalyani Nagar,Manjri and Koregaon Park. Traffic officers and experts including Traffic PSI M Chandrakant Raghvan, Mr. Shaikh, Mr Patil, Crime Branch Inspector Pallavi Meher engaged with the participants, discussing topics such as traffic discipline, legal issues, safe driving practices, precautions when parking, responsibilities of a driver and how to assist or seek help during emergencies or accidents.
