Young Volunteers Inspire Change for a Cleaner City
The eleventh edition of Clean City Talks,
organized by APCCI, showcased how young citizens are shaping a cleaner,
greener urban future. Among the inspiring participants were members of
BPT Seva (Baner Pashan Tekdi Seva)—a youth-led community initiative
dedicated to improving city cleanliness through regular drives and
awareness campaigns.
Founded
by Shanti Saxena, Tanish Saxena, Arghav Choudhary, Tej Pundey, Arnav
Nair, Suzanne Thomas, and Aadit Bagde, BPT Seva has become an example of responsibility
and collective action. The volunteers emphasized that neglect of public
spaces often stems from a lack of civic sense, and that true, lasting
change can only come through active community participation.Their
message struck a chord with attendees, reminding everyone that
sustainability begins with individual and local efforts.
Malhar Karwande (COO, APCCI), Aashish Marathe (General Manager, APCCI), and Sathya Natarajan (Lead Volunteer, APCCI), applauded the group’s dedication and leadership. Their recognition underscored how youth-driven initiatives like BPT Seva are paving the way for a cleaner, more liveable city—one community effort at a time.
Together, these young changemakers are proving that civic pride and teamwork can truly transform our urban spaces.
