APCCI Promotes Road Safety Awareness During Road Safety Week
The Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative (APCCI) actively participated
in Road Safety Week to spread awareness about traffic rules and
responsible road behavior. More than 450 waste warriors from APCCI took
part in the campaign, holding placards and engaging with citizens at
over 50 major chowks across Pune. Through direct interaction, they
emphasized the importance of following traffic regulations to ensure the
safety of drivers, pedestrians, and commuters.
As part of the
initiative, over 300 motorists who were found adhering to traffic rules
were appreciated and felicitated with roses as a gesture of
encouragement. The campaign was carried out with the support of the Pune
Traffic Branch and under the guidance of senior traffic officials
including Pune Traffic Police Commissioner Manoj Patil and Deputy
Commissioner Himmat Jadhav..
With Pune witnessing rapid population growth and a significant rise in the number of vehicles, traffic congestion has become a pressing issue. Non-compliance with traffic rules further aggravates congestion and increases the risk of accidents. Recognizing the importance of public awareness, APCCI’s waste warriors actively contributed to promoting safer roads and fostering a culture of responsible driving across the city.
