Youngsters Driving a Cleaner and Healthier Future for Pune
This is evident from the fact that a growing number of young people are choosing to spend their weekends not just relaxing, but participating in cleanliness drives across Pune. From hills and riversides to streets and public spaces, youngsters and emerging community organisations are taking the initiative to make a difference.
Maintaining cleanliness in public spaces is not merely the responsibility of civic authorities; it is the duty of every citizen. The increasing participation of young volunteers reflects a growing sense of ownership towards the city and its environment.
The objective of these initiatives goes beyond simply collecting waste. Volunteers are also working to create awareness about littering, waste segregation and responsible disposal. The aim is to encourage behavioural change and create a lasting impact.
The Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative (APCCI) has also been actively participating in such efforts, including cleanliness drives and post-marathon clean-up activities, reinforcing the importance of keeping Pune clean.
The enthusiasm of young volunteers is inspiring more citizens to participate and take action. Their efforts demonstrate that meaningful change can begin with small steps.
As Pune continues to grow, its young citizens are showing the way towards a cleaner, greener and healthier future.
